Interview bestselling authors, debut authors and indie authors on upcoming titles, as well as their thoughts on current events within the book world, for articles on these topics to appear on 12News.com

Utilize social media to find story ideas, connect with viewers, and ensure coverage includes trending topics
Shot, edited, wrote and produced three episodes on specific topics related to reading and literacy that appeared on 12News’ streaming app
Collaborate with on-air talent to write articles, produce video for newscasts, and create social media content at the intersection of books and sports, politics, and current events
Write articles daily on a variety of topics, including crime, social media trends, and what Arizonans are searching for by utilizing Google Trends
Edit articles from on-air talent for grammar and style, offer feedback and ensure articles are posted to 12News.com in a timely manner
Post graphics and videos to social media channels, ensuring maximum viewership by utilizing all facets of each platform
Contact public information officers during breaking news scenarios, researching pitches and providing early framework to on-air talent, and coordinating crews for coverage
Maintaining records of crew movements, story changes and communicating to the entire newsroom, as well as 12News’ media partners, regarding stories
Request public records and process surveillance footage, body worn camera footage, 911 calls and court documents to find story ideas and enrich storytelling
Work with on-air talent to plan social media promotions for long-term projects, shoot and edit video for social platforms, and engage with viewers to ensure maximum visibility for special projects
