About

I sat on a park bench in front of my childhood playground, listening to the father next to me talk about why he was passionate about rebuilding the failing structure behind us. I was thirteen years old applying to be a Scholastic Kid Reporter, and I decided to write about the playground being torn down and replaced. As I listened to him speak, I realized I could do this forever. I wanted to tell stories.

I wanted to be a journalist.

Since then, I have covered the 2016, 2020 and 2022 election cycles, local politics and businesses, and higher education. I have written people’s life stories, from pieces in memoriam to why people keep fighting to make the world a better place. So many individuals have given me the opportunity to tell their stories and the privilege of keeping them informed, and I am grateful to be able to pursue such a noble profession.

On May 19, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Elon University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and business administration. At Elon, I served as the Executive Director of the student-run news organization, Elon News Network, where I was both a leader and a multimedia storyteller. Now, I am looking to join a newsroom where I can continue to learn, grow and tell stories.
